Subject: Somague to be responsible for remodelling Luanda Airport


Yesterday, 29.10.08, the Council of Ministers of Angola approved the contracts for the refitting and improvement of Luanda’s 4 de Fevereiro International Airport. This intervention will allow for an increase in the number of passengers/year from 1,200,000 to 3,600,000. More boarding lounges, counters and baggage carousels will be created, and there will be an increased capacity for attending passengers, which will rise from 400 to 1,000 passengers/hour. The contracts, to be signed between ENANA-EP (Empresa Nacional de Exploração de Aeroportos e Navegação Aérea) and Somague Angola, will be worth around 50 million USD.
