Somague takes a 45% share in CVC - Construções de Cabo Verde SARL, in partnership with Companhia de Seguros Garantia (Cape Verde) and the Cape Verde National Social Welfare Institute.

As a result of restructuring, Sociedade de Empreitadas Somague, S.A. ceases activity and transformed into the holding company Somague SGPS, while at the same time its industrial facilities are ceded to the new Somague - Sociedade de Construções S.A.. Diogo Vaz Guedes and José Vaz Guedes are nominated Chairman and Deputy Chairman, respectively, of the Executive Committee;
The Somague Group acquires 50% of the CESL group, founded by Professor Lobato Faria in 1976 and the largest Portuguese environmental area group and begins rendering technical services in the areas of consultancy and planning, operations, maintenance and concession management.

The Somague Group acquires Assiconstroi - Sociedade de Construções S.A., a leading civil construction company, renaming it Soconstroi - Sociedade Construções S.A.. This move, with Sogel, opens the way for expansion into Mozambique.
