Somague Engenharia is the result of the 1998 merger of Somague - Sociedade de Construções and Soconstroi creating one of the most important Portuguese civil construction and public works companies. It is a natural heir to the operations built up by Sociedade de Empreitadas Moniz da Maia, Duarte & Vaz Guedes and by Somague - Sociedade de Empreitadas, S.A.R.L. since 1947.


Somague's Quality System is certified by APCER – Associação Portuguesa de Certificação (Portuguese Certification Association) and implemented across all projects under the auspices of the Civil Construction and Public Works Subcontractor Classification Certificate.
